Ride Safe, Ride Fun

A Micro scooter is a mobility vehicle similar to inline skates and skateboards—it's more than just a toy! To ensure you and your family enjoy the ultimate gliding experience, we have compiled the official Micro safety guide. Follow these rules to ride your scooter correctly and safely.

Safety First – Pre-Ride Check

1. Gear Up for Safety

Always wear a helmet, knee, and elbow protectors to reduce the risk of injury. Ensure your helmet is well-fitted.

2. Wear the Right Shoes

Always wear enclosed shoes when riding your Micro scooter. Never ride barefoot or in sandals to protect your feet.

3. Check Your Surroundings & Setup

Before you start, check for approaching pedestrians or vehicles.
Crucial Check: Ensure the Micro logo on the stem is facing the front. This correct wheel position reduces the risk of somersaulting.

4. Be Visible

Add a light to your scooter for your own safety, especially when it is dark outside or during limited visibility (e.g., fog).

Ride Like a Pro – Techniques

🔹 Stance: Front of the Board

Place your foot at the front of the board. This puts more body weight on the front wheel for better stability and leaves space for your other foot, making it easier to access the brake.

🔹 Balance: Switch Your Pushing Foot

Change your pushing foot from time to time. This strengthens both legs, eases pressure on your joints, and improves your overall agility on the scooter.

🔹 Cornering: The "Outer Foot" Rule

Place your "outer foot" on the Micro scooter board while driving around a curve to keep better balance.

Right Turn: Keep your left foot on the board.

Left Turn: Keep your right foot on the board.

🔹 Braking: Bend Your Knees

When using the Micro brake, bend your knees. This is the most effective way to slow down your Micro scooter, and it helps your rear wheel last longer.

Traffic Rules & Conditions

✅ Where You Can Ride (Do's)

Public Walkways: Ride on pavements, footpaths, and areas mainly dedicated to pedestrians.

Cycle Paths: You may use cycle paths and traffic roads with a speed limit of 30 km/h or less.

Respect Others: Always give priority to pedestrians and show them respect.

Speed Limit: Do not ride faster than 15 km/h.

Crossing Roads: Stop and come to a complete halt. Use a pedestrian crossing when available, and get off and walk your scooter across the road.

❌ Where Not to Ride (Don'ts)

Busy Roads: You are not allowed to ride on main roads or streets with high traffic volume.

Forbidden Zones: Avoid areas strictly forbidden for pedestrians and mobility vehicles.

Wet Conditions: Don’t ride when it’s wet! Wet ground is slippery. It takes much longer to brake on wet surfaces. Avoid scooting on wet floors or during rain to prevent accidents.

Improper Stopping: Don't drag your feet to stop. Get off and walk next to your Micro scooter until it comes to a halt.
